Games Workshop just announced that their themed December release of Warhammer 40,000 Death Guard will be delayed until 2021. COVID-19 related shipping delays are being cited as the main culprit.
I am just as sad as anyone that this is getting delayed, but I do see a potential bright side. The last few months of releases for Games Workshop have been rough in terms of fulfillment. I understand they want to keep a schedule and keep their player base appeased, but sometimes it can feel like the player base is being splintered into the haves and have nots. We have been very limited on the new releases we receive (usually limited to 1 or 2), and it's a coin flip on if we receive those on time. I'm hoping that given some more time, those that want to get their hands on the new Codex Death Guard, or the amazingly Nurgle terrain will be able to when they are actually released.
I want to thank Games Workshop for being communicative and transparent with their customers and player base, something I hope will continue in the future.
