Next weekend, both Warhammer Age of Sigmar based skirmish games have big releases. In addition to Warhammer Underworlds and Warcry releases, Black Library has some new offerings as well. Let's take a look.
WARHAMMER UNDERWORLDS DIRECHASM
Direchasm is the name of the new season of Warhammer Underworlds. New areas of Beastgrave have opened up to create new areas to explore and new challenges that await.
First is the Warhammer Underworlds: Direchasm Core Set. This boxed game includes everything that's needed to start playing. It includes two warbands, card decks, boards, dice and tokens.
One of the new warbands is a band of Lumineth Realm-lords called Myari's Purifiers.
Second is a new detachment of the followers of Slaanesh, the Dread Pageant.
Along with the new core set are some new accessories. There are Order and Chaos themed dice, a token set, and a deck box.
To pair with the new season of Warhammer Underworlds, Black Library is releasing Direchasm. This short story anthology has 11 tales from deep in the mountain. The main story features the two warbands included in the Core Set, Myari's Purifiers and the Dread Pageant.
WARHAMMER AGE OF SIGMAR: WARCRY
First up is the release of four new books that cover the Grand Alliances: Chaos, Death, Destruction and Order. These books dive into the leaders, fighters, and monsters, with a deeper dive into each faction that makes up a Grand Alliance. These books are filled with backgrounds and campaigns for your armies.
What's a new release without some themed dice. Each dice set is in the color scheme of one of the Grand Alliances.
Four new Warcry warbands are being released as well. The Khainite Shadowstalkers and the Scions of the Flame were originally included in the recent Warcry: Catacombs box set. In addition, there were two brand new warbands available for order: The Legions of Nagash and Sylvaneth.
For any player of Warcry, you ware going to want to pick up the Tome of Champions 2020. This book clocks in at 112 pages. It includes new rules for open, narrative, and matched play. there are multiplayer pit fights, quests, and challeng battles. The new Tome of Champions even includes a large narrative campaign set in the city of Soroth Kor. Unfortunately for us in North America, The Tome of Champions 2020 won't be available to pre-order until December 12th.
