There have been rumors of a vampire faction for Age of Sigmar circulating for the last nine months or so. When Games Workshop announced their preview show for this Saturday, many inferred that this would be the announcement of the new Vampire themed army. This morning however, leaked (or controlled leaked) fuzzy photos hit the internet of some unreleased models. Games Workshop was quick to confirm this photos by releasing full resolution photos and the names of the new models.
First up is what the internet dubbed "the rideable kangaroos." It turns out they are called treerunners and hail from Hysh. Mounted on them are the new Lumineth Realm-lords models named Hurakan Windchargers.
As a bonus preview, they gave us a sneak peak of Vanari Lorg Regant, yet another mounted model in the Lumineth Realm-lords lineup. We expect to see more about him on Saturday.
This next model was the most controversial. Some liked it, some didn't, but everyone was talking about it. The leaked photos let us know that there is going to be a full vampire faction, titled the Soulblight Gravelords. Here is the Vampire Lord.
I don't know if I'm sold on the hair, but I'm glad that Games Workshop is taking big swings with their new models. I can't wait to see the rest of the lineup on Saturday.
